2027 Politics Heats Up in Ogbomoso as Sunday Dare Group Rallies Support for Tinubu
APC supporters from the five Ogbomoso local governments gathered at the Oba Ghandi Civic Centre as the Sunday Dare Group launched a grassroots push for President Tinubu's re-election.

The race toward the 2027 general elections is picking up pace in Ogbomoso. This week, the Sunday Dare Group (SDG) held a grassroots mobilisation rally at the Oba Ghandi Civic Centre, Ogbomoso, in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's re-election bid.
Who attended
The rally drew All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders, stakeholders, aspirants and supporters from all five local government areas of Ogbomosoland: Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South, Oriire, Surulere and Ogo-Oluwa.
The group is convened by Chief Sunday Dare, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communications and a prominent Ogbomoso son.
What happened at the rally
Speeches backing Tinubu's second-term bid under the slogan "Tinubu L'ẹ̀kan Si."
Distribution of palliatives to 1,000 Ogbomoso indigenes, according to the organisers.
Empowerment items for beneficiaries and party members.
Dare used the occasion to highlight programmes under the administration's Renewed Hope Agenda in areas such as education, health, agriculture, security, roads and housing, and urged residents to support continuity.
Other political moves
Elsewhere in local politics, Ogbomoso Insight reports that a Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) board member known as AFOO has resigned from the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) to join forces with former Chief of Staff Ogunwuyi. Realignments like this are expected to continue across Oyo State as parties prepare for primaries.
What to watch
Ogbomoso has five local governments and a large voting population, which makes it an important battleground in Oyo State politics. Expect more rallies, defections and endorsements in the months ahead. Inside Ogbomoso will report on all parties' activities in the zone.
