Ogbomoso Pivotal Club Gives N5.6m Bursaries to Over 100 Students
More than 100 tertiary students from Ogbomosoland have received bursaries worth N5.6 million from the Ogbomoso Pivotal Club, continuing the club's yearly support for indigent students.

More than 100 students from Ogbomosoland have received bursaries totalling N5.6 million from the Ogbomoso Pivotal Club, according to a report by Ogbomoso Insight published on October 27, 2026.
About the Pivotal bursary
The Ogbomoso Pivotal Club runs an annual education bursary for financially needy students in tertiary institutions who come from the five local government areas of Ogbomosoland: Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South, Oriire, Surulere and Ogo-Oluwa.
In past rounds, applicants were asked to provide:
A typed application letter;
A completed online Pivotal Bursary form;
Proof of Ogbomosoland origin; and
A letter from the Oba or traditional authority, among other documents.
Requirements may change from year to year, so students should watch for the club's official announcement for the next round.
Why it matters
Rising school fees, accommodation and transport costs have made university education harder to afford for many families in Ogbomoso. Community-funded bursaries like this one help keep bright students in school and show what organised groups of indigenes can do for the town.
